    SOME WORTHWHILE LINKS
More than a year ago, I wrote a tongue-in-cheeck tidbit for a forum in The American Enterprise titled, Is Film Art? As someone who sees maybe three movies a year and considers Star Wars the top of the genre, I knew I was hardly a qualified expert on the subject, and happily admitted as much in the piece. That said, the whimsical nature of my comments was apparently lost on Spencer Warren, who recently denounced me and fellow young conservatives for the crime of "aesthetic relativism" in the Claremont Institute's Precepts.

Now entering the fray is The Weekly Standard's J. Bottum, who has rushed to the defense of yours truly and my peers. I'm grateful for Bottum's essay, which injects some sanity into an overblown debate, but I'm regretting ever heading down this road in the first place ...

On another note: I tackle the death penatly in Sunday's Daily News column and affirmative action today in FrontPage.
